Butler service
Having a butler is one of the perks that comes with a Sapphire Veranda Suite. Indeed, your butler is there to help with almost anything; including packing, making restaurant reservations, booking shore excursions or spa treatments. Think of them as a personal concierge.
However, it’s the little things that make Crystal’s butler service extra special. For instance, our butler quickly learned we liked an in-suite breakfast. So when we forgot to place the order she dutifully arrived with all our preferred choices. It’s that intuitive service that exemplifies the Crystal difference. Your butler can also serve afternoon tea, canapés or even dinner in your suite course-by-course.
A delightful living space
The main living space in the Sapphire Veranda Suite is a delight. With a chic yet understated decor as well as an oceanic palette of soft greys and blue it is a classy home away from home.
However, it is the size that really impresses. The living space on its own is bigger than an entire veranda suite on some other luxury lines.
There is room for a dining table and chairs, so you can enjoy meals ‘at home’. In fact your butler will serve these restaurant-style, course-by-course. There is also an inviting sitting area with a velvet sofa and a comfortable arm chair. A writing desk has ample space for your laptop and other devices, as well as charging points.
In addition, the Crystal Symphony Sapphire Veranda Suite includes a complimentary wet bar, which your butler will set up with your preferred beverages. There are also nice touches like an in-suite coffee machine and a pair of binoculars for scenic cruising.
A tranquil bedroom
The bedroom in the Sapphire Veranda Suite is a haven of tranquility. A supremely comfortable bed guaranteed me a good night sleep throughout the voyage.
There are nightstands on either side with lots of space to store personal items like spectacles and books. Indeed, if you have a page-turner the multidirectional reading lights ensure you won’t disturb you significant other. A handy bedside alarm clock doubles as a wireless device charger. Also, there is bedside power with US, Euro and USB A+C sockets.
Extra large teak veranda
The suite’s extra large teak veranda is a real treat. It runs the entire width of the suite and comes with patio furniture, so you can enjoy meals al fresco.
We especially liked having breakfast on the veranda, where we could admire the view from each new port.
A sumptuous bathroom
The bathroom in the Crystal Symphony Sapphire Veranda Suite is among the best at sea. Not only is it extremely spacious, but it has spa-inspired finishes that are sure to please.
Indeed, there is a walk-in shower with one of the largest rainwater heads we’ve seen. Not to mention wall-mounted massage jets designed to sooth tired muscles. What’s more, a marble bench allows you to sit while you shower. Interestingly, the shower is operated not with taps, but buttons; it takes a little getting used to.
As you might expect there is a double vanity with ample storage on either side as well as underneath. Opposite is an additional set of shelves, so you will never run out of space. Indeed, Crystal thought of everything when they redesigned the bathrooms; there is even a toilet paper dispenser that doubles as a cell phone holder.
Crystal also ensure a generous supply of quality Ortigia bath products throughout the voyage.
Storage space
The Crystal Symphony Sapphire Veranda Suite has plenty of storage space. In fact, there is a large walk-in closet with enough room to hang 3 cases full of clothing. The closet also has drawers for smalls and other items.
That said, the living space has yet more drawers. These are useful for storing laptops and devices, as well as books and souvenirs.
It’s worth noting that luggage can be easily stored underneath the bed.
