The Azamara Pursuit restaurants are mostly very good, but some dining venues are better than others. Indeed, the Prime C steakhouse is arguably the best and most popular restaurant. There are five Azamara Pursuit restaurants:
- Discoveries Restaurant
- Prime C
- Aqualina
- Windows Cafe
- The Patio
Discoveries Restaurant
The Discoveries Restaurant is Azamara Pursuit’s biggest eatery. It has a classic charm that harkens back to the grand dining rooms of old, yet there is also a subtle modern flare.
The service in Discoveries Restaurant is warm and friendly, what’s more there are great ocean views; especially from the seats at the stern.
The menu is full of daily inspirations as well as always available classics. On our voyage starters included a tasty Coquilles St. Jaques; Scallops in Creamy Spinach Sauce. We also enjoyed Thinly Sliced Veal Tenderloin with Silky Tuna & Caper Sauce, not to mention a delicious Hot & Sour Thai Seafood Soup.
For main course there was a succulent Lemon-Herb Marinated Chicken Beast as well as Greek Lamb Chops with Oven Roast Zucchini, Lemon Potatoes & Hummus. However, we especially enjoyed the Mushroom & Sausage Stuffed Qual with Herbed Israeli Cous Cous, Caramelized Baby Carrots & Demi-Glaze. If you have room for dessert we recommend the Fig Almond Olive Oil Cake, or the Kiwi & Strawberry Pavlova.
In addition to an à la carte menu, Discoveries Restaurant has a World Cuisine Menu. It is a petit degustation taking inspiration from the flavours of Europe, India, Asia and the Americas.
The Discoveries Restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dinner. On sea days it is also open for lunch. Reservations are not required.
Breakfast: 8:00am – 9:30am.
Lunch: 12:00pm – 1:00pm (Sea days only).

Aqualina
Aqualina is an Italian-inspired specialty restaurant on Azamara Pursuit.
Starters include a Classic Caprese Salad of Seasonal Tomatoes & Buffalo Mozzarella as well as an excellent Beef Carpaccio. Although we highly recommend the Pancetta Wrapped Scallops with Crispy Squid & Butternut Squash.
If you enjoy a traditional Italian second course there are salads and soups, like a delicious Creamy White Bean Soup with Goat Cheese & Basil Oil.
There is pasta, fish and meat for main course. Indeed, the Lobster Tail with Squid Ink Pasta was our pick – mouthwatering. So too was the Grilled Mediterranean Sea Bass & Risotto with Sautéed Shrimp Calamari & Scallop, with Lemon-Butter Sauce. We also rate highly the Garlic, Lemon & Herb Crusted Veal Chop with Potatoes & Arugula-Pistachio Pesto and Maple Balsamic.
There are tempting desserts like Tiramisu or a Flourless Chocolate Torte, not to mention Sbagliato Baba Neapolitan or Chocolate Covered Amaretto Mousse.
The Aqualina menu rarely changes, however there are nightly specials.

The Patio
The Patio is a poolside al fresco venue on Azamara Pursuit. Diners can enjoy lunch and dinner amid the gentle sea breezes, not to mention glorious ocean views. The Patio is casual without forsaking quality. Indeed, in the evening there is an elevated menu featuring specialities from the grill.
Although the menu is small, it is satisfying. There are soups, salads and artisan breads for starters. Main course includes Grilled Curried Chicken Kebabs, Tournedos of Lamb Tenderloin and Bone-in Beef Striploin. We recommend the expertly grill seafood specials.
The Patio is open for lunch daily and dinner most evenings (weather permitting). Dinner reservations are recommended, but not essential.

Windows Cafe
Windows Cafe is Azamara Pursuit’s buffet restaurant. It has a good food selection as well as uninterrupted ocean views. In fact, the outdoor terrace is perfect for al fresco dining.
Breakfast in Windows Cafe includes a spread of hot and cold options. At lunchtime there are salads and cold meats, as well as pasta, roasted meats and fish. For dinner the buffet is usually themed around ports of call or other regional cuisine.
That said, the cuisine in Windows Cafe can be somewhat unimpressive. It is enjoyable, but not as much as other restaurants on board.
