When Explora III is launched in the northern summer of 2026 it will boast LNG propulsion technology, more suites and more public space for every guest.
Explora Journeys have unveiled details of the upcoming vessel, which they say will set a new era in luxury ocean travel. Indeed, Explora III will be an evolution in design when compared to her sister-ships. There will be slightly more suites; and more of them will be premium category rooms. The Ocean Wellness spa and fitness areas will also be reimagined. So too will the spaces designed for children.
“With EXPLORA III, we are thrilled to reach the halfway point in the launch of our fleet of six luxury ships, each designed to redefine the standards of ocean travel. This milestone represents more than just growth; it underscores our dedication to offering guests unparalleled access to some of the world’s most breathtaking destinations.”
Anna Nash, President, Explora Journeys.
However, most notably Explora III will be the first LNG powered vessel in the fleet. It will reflect the brands efforts to decarbonise its on-water operations and enables a direct transition to drop-in bio-LNG and synthetic LNG in the future. Explora III will also have ship to shore power connectivity, meaning zero emissions in compatible ports.
More premium suites
Explora III will have 463 suites and more of them will be premium category rooms. Indeed, there will be more Penthouse Suites; in fact they will account for almost a quarter of the suite inventory. There will also be more palatial Ocean Residences and an additional Owner’s Residence on Deck 7.
Reimagined wellness
On Explora III the fitness centre will be unified with the spa, creating a single dedicated space for health and wellbeing. Explora Journeys promise it will be an enhanced area with the spa offering a serene sanctuary alongside a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre and Fitness Studio. Explora III will feature an open-air fitness area on Deck 14, as well as an extended running track and expanded sports courts.
Explora for families
Explora III will also have enhanced spaces for youngsters. Known as the Nautilus Club, these dedicated areas will cater for children and teens with expert hosts engaging them in fun and creative activities.
There will be a Nautilus Club Juniors for children aged under 5-years, as well as a Nautilus Club Teens for kids aged 6 to17-years.
Inaugural sailings

In September 2026 Explora III will arrive in Quebec City, Canada on her way to Miami and a Caribbean season commencing in October.
