Cunard today announced that the 95-year old fashion icon, Iris Apfel, will join the line-up of fashionistas for this years QM2 fashion week fashion week.
The luxury line tell us that over the course of Transatlantic Fashion Week (31 August – 7 September 2017), Iris will be presenting one Q&A session and will introduce a showing of Iris, a documentary featuring fashion, creativity and her soaring free spirit.
“I’ve lived quite a life of fashion and can’t wait to experience style at sea!” said Apfel. “I look forward to being inspired by the elegance and glamour of the occasion and life onboard, especially the formal nights on my voyage across the Atlantic.”
Iris is a world-renowned, jet-setting celebrity known for her individual style and joyful flair. She has been featured in cutting-edge style campaigns for Macy’s, MAC, Kate Spade, Swarovski and other big-name brands, and has become renowned for her signature look of bold round glasses, oversized bangles and necklaces, and rich, flamboyant, colourful garments.
Now heading into its second year, QM2 fashion week invites guests to enjoy the glamour of the world’s only sailing ocean liner, QM2, while being treated to seven days of runway shows, dinners and exclusive unveilings before sailing into New York for Fashion Week.
Fresh from her US$132-million remastering, Queen Mary 2 will no doubt turn heads in her own right on this years Transatlantic Fashion Week voyage.
