The Oceania Nautica Penthouse Suite is ideal for those who like more space. In fact, it is almost double the size of a standard room. It is a serene retreat that is large enough for private in-suite dining. There is also a sleek bathroom, as well as a big teak veranda.
What’s more, the Nautica Penthouse Suite also comes with an array of added perks to make your cruise vacation even more enjoyable. There is 24-hour butler service, champagne on embarkation, afternoon canapés, upgraded bathroom amenities and a free laundry allowance, just to name a few.
Editors tip: It’s good to remember the free laundry allowance is wash and fold only. It does not include pressing.
The decor in the Nautica Penthouse Suite reflects the palette of the ocean. There are soft tones of blue and grey, with gleaming chrome highlights as well as sumptuous designer fabrics. It is a wonderfully indulgent home away from home.

Butler service
Round-the-clock butler service is available in every Penthouse Suite. Your butler can arrange restaurant reservations and shore excursions, or even serve dinner in your suite course-by-course.
On our review voyage the butler also served a full hot breakfast on our veranda each morning – it was a real treat. The in-suite afternoon tea was a delight as well.
Your butler will also deliver canapés each afternoon. On our sailing these included California Rolls, Vegetable Spring Rolls, an A.O.C. Cheese Platter and Crudites.
Your butler is there to help, from packing and unpacking to delivering your passports to your suite.
Living space
The living space is bright, elegant and spacious with clever features that modern cruisers are sure to appreciate.
The Oceania Nautica Penthouse Suite is like a junior suite in a luxury hotel. There is a custom-designed Tranquility bed and on either side are nightstands. These are handy for storing small personal items. There are also bedside USB A + C charging points as well as multidirectional reading lights.
The living space also has a sitting area with a comfortable sofa and a coffee table. In addition, there is a dining setting so you can enjoy meals ‘at home’.
There is also a large writing and vanity desk with two US and two European power outlets, as well as USB-A connectivity. A refrigerated mini bar is under the desk.
The Oceania Nautica Penthouse Suite also has a large, wall mounted interactive TV. It features movies on-demand as well as the ability to view your itinerary or see your shipboard account.
A big veranda
The genuine teak veranda is a wonderful luxury. What’s more, it is almost twice as long as those of regular staterooms. It is decked-out with reclining armchairs and a table. We think it is the perfect place to watch the sun set with a glass of champagne.
Bathroom
The sleek bathroom is a lovely surprise. It somehow feels much bigger than it really is. With luxury stone finishes and lots of storage space, it is sure to please.
We liked the extra large walk-in shower. It has a handy foot rest as well as a glass door that closes tightly, so there are never any leaks. Also, there is a good sized basin as well as room on the vanity for Bulgari toiletries.
Storage
The Oceania Nautica Penthouse Suite has just enough storage space for a typical two-week cruise vacation. There is a single closet with hanging space, drawers and shelving.
On most voyages this shouldn’t be a problem, but on longer sailings storage may be an issue.
Editors tip: Open out your empty luggage so it slides more easily under the bed for storage.
Floorplan
The layout of the Oceania Nautica Penthouse Suite is similar to a junior suite in a hotel. Each suite is generously proportioned with 29.9 sq. m. / 322 sq. ft. of internal space as well as an expansive 5.2 sq. m. /56 sq. ft. teak veranda.
The suite has a gracious entry foyer with a closet on one side and access to the bathroom on the other. Beyond is the main living space, with a comfortable dining area and sofa. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors lead on to the teak veranda.
