One of the smallest ships in the Silversea ocean cruising fleet has been entirely refurbished. The 388-guest Silver Shadow has had a bow to stern refit and no part of the luxury vessel has been left untouched.
It’s all part of Silversea Cruises multi-million dollar renovation program known as Project Invictus which is transforming the entire fleet. Indeed, every ship will get the same luxurious appointments and refined decor showcased on the flagship Silver Muse.
The Silver Shadow refurbishment is now complete. Indeed, as someone who has sailed on Silver Shadow many times I can say the transformation is astounding.
Every suite has been entirely renovated. All the public areas have been made over. The dining areas have been enhanced and in some cases, even enlarged.
As soon as you step on board Silver Shadow you will see the improvements. There is a brand new atrium which is designed to enhance the sense of space and a new reception area.
Behind that is the remodelled Dolce Vita Bar. It is still one of the most atmospheric bars at sea.
The iconic main dining room which is simply called The Restaurant was also refreshed during the Silver Shadow refurbishment. This venue is not available on the larger ships in the fleet, despite its popularity. Its makeover on Silver Shadow, which echoes the decor of Atlantide on Silver Muse, is sure to impress.
Following its successful introduction on Silver Shadow a little over a year ago, the French restaurant known as La Dame has been extended. There is now more space and an elegant new decor featuring ornate Lalique crystal features.
However, it is the upgrades to the suites that are perhaps the most impressive aspect of the Silver Shadow refurbishment. Each one has been entirely transformed to reflect the elegant style and Italian sophistication that has won such acclaim on board Silver Muse. Even the bathrooms have been upgraded with new sinks and Silestone material.
All these enhancements are sure to make Silver Shadow even more popular with Silversea guests for years to come. For more information visit the Silversea website.
