Oceania Cruises have resumed operations with Marina welcoming guests back on board for the first time since the pandemic.
Marina has set sail from Copenhagen, Denmark on a 10-day Baltic voyage to Stockholm, Sweden. Along the way Marina will visit ports in Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland.
The voyage is a milestone for Oceania Cruises. Indeed, it is the first time guests have sailed with the cruise line in 524-days.
“Today is one of those days we will all remember for a lifetime as we reunite with our shipboard families and our guests to start exploring the world once again.”
Bob Binder, President and CEO of Oceania Cruises.
Next, Marina will sail to Lisbon, Portugal via Amsterdam and London en route to the Mediterranean. Once there she will sail back-to-back itineraries visiting Spain, France, Italy, Montinegro, Greece and Croatia. On 19 November 2021 Marina will set sail from Barcelona, Spain bound for Miami, USA.
Health and safety
As Oceania Cruises resume sailing, it’s worth noting that pre-cruise vaccinations are now mandatory for all guests and crew. In addition, pre-cruise health screening also includes an enhanced health questionnaire and touchless temperature checks.
Oceania Cruises recommend all guests take either a PCR or rapid antigen test before leaving home to determine their COVID-status.
On board, air conditioning systems have been upgraded with medical-grade MERV 13 or HEPA air filters. There is additional sanitisation and there will be monitoring of guest health throughout the cruise with temperature checks and symptom screening.
Riviera next as Oceania Cruises resumes operations
Oceania Cruises will continue to resume operations with Riviera sailing from Istanbul, Turkey to Trieste, Italy on 18 October 2021. Like Marina, she will then sail Mediterranean itineraries before departing for Miami, USA in mid-November.
Insignia world cruise
In contrast with other cruise lines cancelling their upcoming world cruises, Insignia is still schedule to set sail from Miami on her epic 196-day voyage. She is expected to slip her moorings on 21 December 2021 bound for the idylic Pacific islands, Australia, Asia, the west coast of Africa and Europe.
Return of Sirena, Regatta and Nautica
Sirena is due to resume sailing in the Caribbean on 21 January 2022. While Regatta will welcome guests back on board in French Polynesia next February followed by Nautica in the Mediterranean on 1 April 2022.
