A milestone in the construction of one of the worlds newest luxury cruise ships took place yesterday. Regent Seven Seas Cruises officially laid the keel for their new Seven Seas Grandeur.
The ceremony took place at the iconic Fincantieri ship yard in Italy where Seven Seas Grandeur is being constructed. A large section of the superstructure was lifted into place to mark the occasion.
“Inspired by our heritage, this will be a ship that harmonizes elegance, comfort, freedom and choice, providing An Unrivaled Experience, and will continue to delight our guests for years to come.”
Jason Montague, President and Chief Executive Officer, Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
In maritime tradition custom-minted coins were placed into the keel. Two of the coins were replicas of those placed in sister ships Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Splendor. While the third new coin for Seven Seas Grandeur included the cruise line’s 30th anniversary logo.
The 732-guest Seven Seas Grandeur will debut in November 2023. The vessel will boast a staff-to-guest ratio that is among the highest in the industry. Not to mention a new standard of upscale American luxury.
Indeed, there will be 15 different types of all-suite, all-balcony accomodation on Seven Seas Grandeur. Among these will be some of the largest veranda suites at sea, not to mention the palatial, one-of-a-kind Regent Suite.
Seven Seas Grandeur’s inaugural season will include 17 voyages in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, as well as 2 transatlantic crossings.
