Outdoor adventurer and internationally renowned television personality Bear Grylls OBE will headline Cunard’s 2023 Alaska season on Queen Elizabeth. Indeed it will be Grylls’ first appearance on a cruise ship.

“I’ve been a fan of Bear Grylls since Man vs Wild and I’m thrilled that our guests will be able to see him live on Queen Elizabeth next year.”

Grylls will join Queen Elizabeth on a roundtrip, 12-night sailing from Vancouver departing 8 June 2023. He will share his experiences as an adventurer and one of the youngest climbers of Mt. Everest.

Guests on the voyage will experience the stunning Glacier Bay National Park, as well as the Tracy Arm Fjord and the Hubbard Glacier. A Cultural Heritage Guide from Alaska Native Voices will also be featured on this voyage to enrich the Alaskan experience.

In addition, Cunard will offer six other voyages in the region from June to August 2023, each showcasing a different explorer as part of the Insights Program.

On board will be Mensun Bound, the marine archaeologist who recently discovered the wreck of Shackleton’s ship Endurance. British mountaineer Kenton Cool will sail on Queen Elizabeth too; he has summited Mt. Everest 15 times. Also on board will be Ann Daniels, one of Britain’s leading Polar explorers and the first woman in history to ski to the North and South Poles.
