The debut of Oceania Cruises new Vista flagship has been brought forward by one week. The newly announced “Founder’s Cruise” will sail from Rome to Venice, Italy departing 13 May 2023.
Vista’s maiden voyage was to have commenced in Venice on 20 May next year. However the cruise line tell us unprecedented demand for the ship’s inaugural season forced their hand. Indeed, it is unusual to bring forward a new ship’s debut with a previously unannounced voyage.
“Vista has been driving exceptional demand from the moment we first revealed her inaugural voyages. With all of her maiden season voyages sold out or on waitlist status, we are introducing an additional voyage to satisfy that exceptional demand.”
Howard Sherman, President and CEO of Oceania Cruises.
The new Founder’s Cruise will be hosted by Oceania Cruises’ Founder, Frank J. Del Rio. Indeed, the voyage will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the brand as well as Vista’s debut. It will be punctuated by exclusive celebrations, cocktail receptions and other special events.
The 7-day Founder’s Cruise will call at some for the Mediterranean’s most iconic ports including Sorrento, Corfu and Dubrovnik. Guests on board will be among the first to experience Vista’s new restaurants and bars, stylish public spaces and spacious accommodations.
Demand for the Founder’s Cruise has been strong. Indeed, the top-of-the-range Owner’s, Vista and Oceania Suites have already sold out. However, at the time of publication there were still Penthouse Suites and Veranda Staterooms available for sale.
It’s also worth noting that we found a limited number of Staterooms and Suites were also available for other sailings on Vistas inaugural season.
Vista will remain in the Mediterranean until August. She will then make her first transatlantic crossing before commencing back-to-back Miami roundtrip voyages.
