The restaurants on World Traveller really impress. On my voyage the food was especially good and the service was polished. The are two restaurants and one cafe on World Traveller:
- Lisboa Restaurant
- 7AFT Grill
- Paula’s Pantry
I rate the Lisboa Restaurant as the best dining venue on board; the Portuguese specialities are not to be missed. That said, the 7AFT Grill holds its own too.

Lisboa Restaurant
The Lisboa Restaurant revels in the Portuguese heritage of Atlas Ocean Voyages. Named for the nation’s capital city it features mouthwatering classics like delicious Portuguese Egg Custard Pastry Tart.
The five course dinner menu is a nightly culinary adventure with starters like perfectly cooked scallops, not to mention Black Ravioli Lobster in Cardinal Sauce with Baby Carrots & 24 Hour Cured Bacon. Foodies will enjoy the Walnut Fried Frog Legs with Garlic Cream, Spinach Coulis & Butter Parsley.
For main course I enjoyed an exceptional Beef Wellington; it was so good people ordered seconds. There were also fantastic Portuguese cheese plates as well as indulgent desserts like Souffle au Grand Marnier and Crema Catalana with Orange, Lemon & Cinnamon.
At lunchtime the chefs prepare an indulgent buffet with cold and hot selections. There is a carvery with roasted meats, or you can enjoy freshly made pasta on the outside terrace.
Earlier in the day Lisboa has a tempting à la carte menu bristling with breakfast classics.
It’s worth noting that the Lisboa Restaurant has an extensive plant based menu.
Lisboa is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You do not need to make reservations.
7AFT Grill
The 7AFT Grill has succulent prime cuts and seafood prepared on a charcoal fired Josper grill. It is an alfresco poolside venue with a magical evening ambiance when the tables are laid with crisp linen and candles flicker.
The evening menu is petit, yet enormously satisfying. For starters I recommend the Jumbo Shrimp.
While for main course I suggest the Charolais Tenderloin from France. It has a delicate taste and a melt-in-the mouth bite. Truly delicious! You will need to make a reservation for dinner.
At lunchtime the 7AFT Grill serves poolside pleasers including salads, grilled fish and signature burgers.
Paula’s Pantry
The cafe on World Traveller is known as Paula’s Pantry. It’s the go-to place for coffee, gourmet teas and sweet treats.
Just like the local cafe at home the barista soon learned my preferred drink: Short black, espresso coffee. Alas, espresso was not their strong suit. Cappuccino and Americano on the other hand were much better.
Paula’s Pantry is open throughout the day.
