Renewal of the dining scene and public spaces
Cunard’s creative director and acclaimed interior designer Adam D. Tihany wanted to create an extraordinary, thoughtful and modern feel in the public spaces on Queen Anne.
“Just the way a world-renowned orchestra delivers a feeling, or takes you to a moment or an era, Queen Anne’s aesthetic would do the same in harkening Cunard’s gilded age, but through the bold, onward lens of modernity.”
Adam D. Tihany – Creative Director, Cunard.
Indeed, each of the fifteen restaurants on Queen Anne has been individually curated to create a unique ambience. For instance, the decor of the Princess and Queens Grill restaurants will feature bright colours with highlights of gold to reinforce the luxurious, refined design aesthetic on board. The two-level Britannia Restaurant will also boast a striking new decor. So too will the classic Golden Lion Pub.
A focal point is sure to be the new Grand Lobby. This iconic Cunard space has been reimagined with new tones and textures. Not to mention a contemporary metal mural sculpture that changes throughout the day in homage to the ‘Golden Age’ of travel.
The famous Queens Room is set for a major makeover. Also, the 825-seat Royal Court Theatre will offer guests a quintessential West End experience. There will be stalls and a balcony, as well as rich velvet seating offering every guest the perfect view.
