Now you can capture the perfect photographic memories from your next luxury expedition cruise with the new Silver Cloud photography Academy.
Silversea, the luxury cruise line, have launched its My Photo Academy on their flagship expedition vessel Silver Cloud.
Of course any visit to the polar regions is filled with a wealth of inspiring landscapes and incredible wildlife. Silversea guests now have the chance to raise their photographic prowess by learning how to capture these images like a professional.
With both private and group lessons, guests can learn to master the art of digital photography through the Silver Cloud photography Academy. There are workshops for both beginners and professionals with topics ranging from an introduction to photography to the use of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Conrad Combrink heads up Silversea Expeditions and tells us the new photography program is the perfect fit for Antarctic cruises. “Voyaging to the bottom of the Earth is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, full of magical moments which we will help our guests to capture in beautiful images they will be proud to display in their home or office.”
The My Photo Academy is unique to the Photo Studio on board Silver Cloud. The Studio features state-of-the-art equipment for both MAC and PC users, including high-quality printers which are available for use on a fee basis for guests who would like to create postcards or take home frame-ready pictures.
Guests can also schedule a 20-minute, one-on-one appointment with a photo-editing expert to get guidance on smart gear recommendations, camera menu options and even help with social media and posting.
