Spirits bar
Spirits is one of the more intimate Azamara Quest bars. It has a club-like atmosphere, with over-stuffed sofas and a resident pianist. Indeed, we really enjoyed his understated performances.
However, it’s the libations that make Spirits extra special. There is an extensive list of spirits and classic cocktails, as well as a collection of signature cocktails like the French 75 with Tanqueray 10 Gin, Syrup, Lemon Juice, Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne & Lemon Twist, not to mention the Royal Flush with Highland Park 12 Years, Chambord, Peach Schnapps & Cranberry Juice. Spirits has something to please every palate.
Opening hours: 10:00am – midnight.
The Prime C Bar
The Prime C Bar is our preferred bar on Azamara Quest. Tucked away inside the Prime C restaurant, it is one of the best kept secrets on board. In fact, on our voyage most people didn’t think to go there.
However, you are welcome to enjoy a libation, even if you are not dining in the restaurant.
Opening hours: 6:00am – 10:00pm.
The Cabaret Lounge
The Cabaret Lounge is the theatre on Azamara Quest. It is the place for cast performances and musical productions.
The resident cast perform shows like “Take Two – The Music of the Movies” and “Britrock!” On my voyage some of these shows were enjoyable, although on the whole they were underwhelming and at times even saccharin. That’s in spite of the talent of some cast members.
Guest artists like comedians, musicians and magicians also perform in the Cabaret Lounge. There are even local dance troupes on select voyages.
It’s worth noting that there is bar service in the Cabaret Lounge prior to and during performances.
Showtime: 9:00pm
The Living Room
The observation lounge on Azamara Quest is known as The Living Room. It is perched high on deck 10 with panoramic views across the bow, which makes it a popular sunset bar.
However, earlier in the day they serve afternoon tea. There are tempting pastries and cakes, as well as a selection of gourmet teas. Later, a three-piece band and vocalist perform their first set.
As the sun goes down the band return and The Living Room takes on a sophisticated vibe. Waiters glide past with champagne, cocktails and spirits while guests catch up and share stories about their day ashore.
Opening hours: noon – late.
Discoveries Bar
The Discoveries Bar is adjacent to the main restaurant on Azamara Quest, making it a popular place for a pre-dinner tipple.
Opening hours: 6:00pm – late.
The Pool Bar
As the name suggests, the Pool Bar is a casual poolside venue. In fact it is the perfect place to relax beneath the shade of umbrellas, or in the eveing with a gentle sea breeze.
The Pool Bar serves a wide variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. There are classic poolside cocktails like Piña colada, Daiquiris and Mojito, as well as beer, wine and champagne.
Opening hours: 9:00am – 9:00pm.
