Silversea’s iconic luxury ship, Silver Whisper, has emerged from a multi-million dollar refurbishment looking like new. The refitted Silver Whisper is now ready to embark on her upcoming World Cruise 2017.
The refitted Silver Whisper has been carefully reimagined whilst retaining her much-loved classic style. In all suites the burgundy carpets and upholstery have gone, replaced by a delightful dove grey pattern.
“Our goal with this refurbishment was to refresh Silver Whisper’s signature style and honour her superb legacy by revitalising the onboard experience for our guests,” said Roberto Martinoli, the CEO of Silversea.
In the public areas of the Silver Whisper there have also been significant yet subtle changes. The Restaurant and La Terrazza have been outfitted with freshly upholstered chairs.
The wood flooring in the restaurants, Connoisseur’s Corner, Panorama Lounge, Spa and Beauty Salon have all been rejuvenated too.
While in the ever popular Observation Lounge the refresh includes rich new wood panelling and wood accents, a new marble-topped bar and stylish new wood display cases.
Outside, the pool deck has been upgraded with the installation of two new whirlpools. In addition, new synthetic turf has been placed on the jogging and spa decks, creating an inviting setting for outdoor activities.
The renovation was completed during Silver Whisper’s dry dock in the Bahamas this month. As we’ve previously reported, it represents the third phase of a $170 million fleet refurbishment program, the largest in the company’s history.
As part of the initiative, Silver Discoverer and Silver Wind have also received comprehensive makeovers this year, and Silver Cloud is scheduled for refurbishment in late 2017, which will include converting the vessel to an ice-class expedition ship. The refitted Silver Whisper sets sail from San Francisco bound for Monte Carlo on her World Cruise 2017 on 6 January.
