The first vessel in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection fleet has completed its maiden voyage. The small, ultra-luxurious Evrima sailed from Barcelona, Spain to Nice, France calling at rarely visited Mediterranean ports along the way.
However, as we’ve previously reported the debut of Evrima has been fraught with delays. Though it’s worth noting that guests on board the maiden voyage posted overwhelmingly positive social media about their experience.
Indeed, Evrima is sure to impress. The 298-guest vessel was built to blend the lifestyle of The Ritz-Carlton resorts with the casual freedom of a yachting vacation. It reflects the growing demand among luxury cruisers for bespoke, small-ship vacations.
“Every element of the luxury yachting experience was considered when designing and creating Evrima, and we are excited to deliver unforgettable journeys for both longtime cruisers and those who are new to the industry.”
Douglas Prothero, Chief Executive Officer for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
As you might expect, the accomodation on board Evrima is superb. Every room has a private terrace as well as floor to ceiling windows. The cruise line tell us it results in some of the most airy and expansive rooms at sea.
There is also impeccable cuisine in Evrima’s three restaurants. The main dining room focuses on locally-inspired creations. There is also an Asian restaurant and a speciality dining venue designed by renowned chef Sven Elverfeld.
It’s worth noting that unlike most other boutique-size luxury cruise ships, Evrima welcomes children. Indeed they even have a dedicated space called Ritz Kids.
Evrima will make two more Mediterranean voyages before sailing across the Atlantic to the Caribbean.
