Each Azamara Pursuit Veranda Stateroom is comfortable, albeit a little small. Indeed, there is no escaping the fact they are modest in size. However, clever design makes them feel more roomy. That said, we think the best part of the stateroom is the relatively large veranda.

The Azamara Pursuit Veranda Staterooms (and the near identical Veranda Plus Staterooms) were refurbished in 2018. As with all the Azamara vessels, the decor is modern and stylish. There is a neutral palette of white, cream and charcoal, accented by chrome highlights. It makes for a pleasant home away from home.

The interior space of the Azamara Pursuit Veranda Stateroom measures 16.3 sq.m. / 175 sq.ft. Additionally, the veranda measures 3.7 sq.m. / 40 sq.ft.

The best standard Veranda Staterooms on Azamara Pursuit are 8030, 8032, 8033, 8034, 8035 and 8037. These are midship on deck 8 and near the bigger suites.

Yes, there are handy coat hooks for hanging garments and hats, or even tote bags.

The bathroom can best be described as a shower room. There is just enough space for a shower, toilet and a small vanity. That said, it is all very functional with extra shelving for storing your personal effects.

A petit living space

It can’t be denied that the living space is petit. That said, it is also inviting and homely. In addition, clever design and a bright decor make it feel somewhat bigger.

The sofa is large enough for only one person.

The Azamara Pursuit Veranda Stateroom has a combined sleeping and sitting area. The sitting area has a coffee table and an unusual 1.5-seat sofa; perhaps a pair of chairs might be preferable.

There are US, UK and Euro power points.

There is also a writing desk which is just big enough for a laptop and reading material. There are two US power outlets, as well as one each for European and UK plugs.

Nightstands are on either side of the bed.
Nightstands have a small drawer, handy for storing spectacles.

There is a comfortable bed (medium-firm feel). It can be configured as a queen or twin set up with nightstands on either side. Lots of guests notice these nightstands are not matching, that’s intentional; designed to enhance the sense of space.

Bedside USB-A charging points.

There are also multidirectional reading lamps and bedside USB charging points. Although it’s worth noting these are only for old-style USB-A devices, not USB-C.

The Azamara Pursuit Veranda Stateroom has a wall mounted interactive TV. It has movies on-demand and it also lets you view your itinerary or shipboard account, not to mention information about the services on board.

Other things we found handy were the full length mirror and coat hooks, as well as the complimentary bottles of water, and the refrigerated mini bar.

A glorious veranda

The veranda is a delight; and it is surprisingly large. In fact, there is even space for an outdoor dining setting. So you can enjoy meals at home, al fresco.

A functional bathroom

The bathroom in the Azamara Pursuit Veranda and Veranda Plus Staterooms is somewhat small. However, it also looks smart and is unexpectedly functional.

There are stylish timber cabinets for extra storage. Atop the vanity is space for a selection of bath products. Also, there are shelves which we found handy for hair products and colognes. Importantly, the lighting in the bathroom is excellent.

Storage in the Azamara Pursuit Veranda Stateroom

For such small stateroom there is a surprisingly large amount of storage space. Indeed, the closet has enough room to easily accommodate most garments you’d take on a 14-day cruise. However, on longer sailings or when you pack more clothing, storage space could become an issue.

Editors tip: Once you’ve unpacked your luggage be sure to open it out before sliding it under the bed, that way it will fit more easily.

There are also shelves for delicate items and drawers for your smalls. In addition, there is a safety deposit box for your valuables.
