The Azamara Quest Veranda Stateroom (and near identical Veranda Plus) are cozy, yet comfortable. While there is no escaping the fact they are modest in size, smart design makes them feel more roomy. These staterooms have a small, but functional bathroom as well as a relatively large veranda.
The Azamara Quest Veranda and Veranda Plus Staterooms were refurbished in 2016. The decor is modern, taking inspiration from nature’s elements of water, sand, wood and stone. Tones of white, cream and charcoal are accented by sparkling chrome highlights. It’s a very pleasant home away from home.

A cozy living space
The living space is modest in size, but it feels somewhat bigger thanks to clever design features and a bright decor.
The Azamara Quest Veranda and Veranda Plus Staterooms both have a combined sleeping and sitting area. The sitting area has an unusually shaped sofa which enhances the sense of space, but some may find it uncomfortable. There is also an adjustable coffee table.
The Veranda Stateroom has a writing desk with two US and two European power outlets. A refrigerated mini bar is under the desk.
There is a surprisingly comfortable bed (medium-firm feel) which can be configured as a queen or twin set up. The bed is framed by a padded headboard.
There are nightstands of differing shapes on either side. These were handy for storing personal effects like reading glasses. In addition, there are multidirectional reading lamps and bedside USB-A charging points which are compatible with older devices.
The Azamara Quest Veranda and Veranda Plus Staterooms have a wall mounted interactive TV. It has movies on-demand and also lets you view your itinerary or shipboard account.
The living space also has a full length mirror, as well as a small bar with complimentary bottles of water.
Surprisingly large veranda
The veranda is a delight. It is surprisingly large, with space for an outdoor dining setting.
In fact, you can even enjoy a full meal on your private veranda as the ocean drifts by.
The petit bathroom
The bathroom in the Azamara Quest Veranda and Veranda Plus Staterooms is petit, but also functional and good looking.
There are stylish timber cabinets below the vanity for extra storage. The vanity top has space for your bath products. In addition, there is more shelf space on the walls.
It’s worth noting that the lighting in the bathroom is excellent.
Veranda Stateroom Storage
There is enough storage space in the Azamara Quest Veranda and Veranda Plus Staterooms for a typical 14-day cruise vacation. A single closet has hanging space, drawers and shelving.
This should be fine for most voyages, but on longer sailings when you pack more clothing, storage could become an issue.
Editors tip: Once you’ve unpacked your luggage be sure to open it out before sliding it under the bed, that way it will fit more easily.
In addition, there is extra storage space under the bar area. We found this useful for keeping larger items. There is also a safety deposit box.

Table on veranda is too large and is fixed to floor.
