Like a private club

Located on their own private floor the Penthouse Spa Suites seem like a private club whose guests are treated to special amenities not available to others, including complimentary full-day access to the serene area in The Spa At Seabourn, in-suite L’Occitane fragrance and daily spa food and beverage offerings.

Each Seabourn Odyssey Penthouse Spa Suite boasts stunning aft views and the two outside suites (1090 and 1093) have a full-length picture window located in the bedroom.

The spacious suites all offer a generous 48 – 50 sq. m. (516 – 538 sq. ft.) of inside space plus and expansive aft-facing private veranda measuring an impressive 16 sq. m. (172 sq. ft.).

A long entry all leads on to the main living space with separate sitting and dining areas. Floor to ceiling glass spans the entire living space with doors opening onto the aft-facing teak veranda. Behind the living space are the bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet.

CruiseOyster love the Seabourn Odyssey Penthouse Spa Suite. Each one is bright and airy and the sense of openness and space is sure to impress. Clean, modern lines work with a light natural colour palate to enhance the generous proportions of the suite.

Elegant living areas

The main living space feels roomy and comfortable with a luxurious 3-seater, cream coloured lounge and day-bed occupying the corner. There is also a comfortable arm chair plus an ottoman that can be converted to a small coffee table with the addition of a cleverly designed tray top.

The dining area is spacious and elegant, boasting a full-sized 4-seater dining table and a smart built-in sideboard with complimentary spa mini-bar, daily spa tea selection and healthy spa snack offering.

The Penthouse Spa Suites boast not one but two complimentary mini-bars. The additional mini-bar (built into the writing desk and shelving located in the entry hall) includes a selection of complimentary spirits and other alcoholic beverages.

A huge flat screen TV and entertainment unit hangs on the wall above the sideboard in the dining area.

A bedroom with a view

A set of French doors open to the Penthouse Spa Suite bedroom. In suites 1090 and 1093 access to the bedroom is from the dining room, in suites 1091 and 1092 access is from the entry hall. (Suites 1091 and 1092 feature a glass wall between the dining area and bedroom.) The bedroom boasts a luxurious queen-sized bed framed by a leather bed head that reaches all the way to the ceiling and the ingenious design continues with the bedside cabinets including draws with small sliding compartments to accommodate reading glasses or other little items that have a habit of getting lost.

The bedroom also features a flat screen TV, iPod docking station and fine artwork hangs from the walls. Opposite the bed is a Hollywood-style vanity area. The highlight of the bedrooms in Penthouse Spa Suites 1090 and 1093 is the full-length picture widow that offers tantalising views from bed each morning.

Behind the bedroom is a large walk-in closet with safe. While not one of the largest closets we have seen there his however ample space to fit a typical couples wardrobe for a 3 week voyage.

Spa-style bathrooms

The bathrooms of the Penthouse Spa Suites also have a range of special enhancements. They boast a large walk-in shower with special spa water attachments, a large soaking tub, double vanity and separate toilet. The Penthouse Spa Suite bathrooms feature luxury Molton Brown bath and beauty products, including Pure Pampering bath oils and a menu of luxurious bath sponges. Soaps by Hermès, L’Occitane, Baudelaire and Salvatore Ferragamo are also offered. There are two access points to the bathroom, one from the bedroom and the other from the entry hall.

Veranda with panoramic views

CruiseOyster rate the aft-facing teak veranda as the highlight of the Seabourn Odyssey Penthouse Spa Suite. This huge space is large enough to comfortably accommodate a 4-seater outdoor dining table and chairs, 2-seater lounge and two sun loungers. With its panoramic views it is the ideal place to enjoy breakfast each morning!
