Horizon Lounge
Positioned at the back of the cruise ship the Horizon Lounge is the largest Seven Seas Voyager bar. It is an elegant space with comfortable sofas and arm chairs, but what makes it extra special is the large teak terrace.
Comfortable outdoor furniture fills the terrace and there are spectacular wake views. It’s the perfect place to relax with a cool libation.
Inside, there are soft leather armchairs and beautiful chandeliers – it is very impressive. The Horizon Lounge also has a small stage and a dance floor where the resident cast sometimes perform. During my voyage there was a Beatles Dance Party. It was great fun and guests were encouraged to join in the singing and swaying on the dance floor.
I observed that the service in the Horizon Lounge can be patchy, perhaps this is simply because the venue is so large.
The bar in the Horizon Lounge is open from 1:00pm and like most of the other Seven Seas Voyager bars it is open until late.
Voyager Lounge
The Voyager Lounge is not only the most popular bar onboard, it is also the Seven Seas Voyager nightclub. In fact, I think it is the hub of the Seven Seas Voyager entertainment scene.
The Lounge is located just outside the Compass Rose restaurant on deck 4, so it is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner champagne or an after dinner nightcap.
Most evenings there is live music in the Voyager Lounge. When I sailed on Seven Seas Voyager a latin duo were the resident performers. They were so popular that the Voyager Lounge was often overflowing with guests keen to soak up the ambiance.
I rate the Voyager lounge as the best bar on Seven Seas Voyager. It is open from 5:00pm until late.
The Constellation Theatre
The Constellation Theatre is the main show lounge on Seven Seas Voyager. It is a Broadway-style theatre with stalls and a dress circle. It features big production shows performed by the resident cast, as well as enrichment lectures and even popcorn movie screenings.
Most nights the resident cast or guest entertainers perform in the Constellation Theatre, although there is usually just one show at 9:30pm. Your daily Passages newsletter will indicate this.
Sadly, the cast shows are not memorable. They tend to have more than a hint of ‘cruise ship cliche’ about them, like the “Lights, Camera, Music” production I saw during my voyage.
That said, there is attentive bar service in the Constellation Theatre at show times.
The Library
The Library is a quiet place to relax and read, or catch up on the latest news in the array of international newspapers.
It is a cloistered space with comfy armchairs and abundant natural light. Both fiction and non-fiction titles line the shelves, and there is also a large selection of travel guides as well.
Observation Lounge
The Observation Lounge is perched high on deck 11 at the front of the cruise ship. It has panoramic views across the bow and during the day it is a peaceful place to relax and read a good book.
As the sun sets the Observation Lounge takes on a different mood. Guests gather in the sunset glow to share stories of their time ashore. The lights are low and the staff glide past with champagne and exotic cocktails.
There is also live music performed by a resident pianist who is happy to take request. It all makes the Observation Lounge one of the best Seven Seas Voyager bars.
It’s worth noting that the bar in the Observation Lounge is open from 4:00pm to midnight.
Coffee Connection
Coffee Connection is a great place to relax and enjoy tea, coffee and light snacks throughout the day.
It is conveniently located on deck 5 near the gangway which makes it the perfect meeting spot before going ashore.
The Coffee Connection is open from 6:30am to 6:00pm
Connoisseurs Club
The Connoisseurs Club is the place to go for fine spirits and cigars. This elegant hideaway can be found on deck 4 forward (adjacent to the Constellation Theatre).
There are comfortable leather armchairs and a club-like atmosphere. However, it is worth remembering that the rare vintage cognacs, ports, Cuban cigars and other items are not included in your cruise fare. They may be purchased at an additional cost.
The Connoisseurs Club is open from 5:00pm until late.
