The Silver Whisper Owners Suite is well suited for those who expect the best. With its preferred location, this spacious and elegant suite is a haven of calm in a sea of tranquility. Our review shows that it really does offer guests the very finest amenities and service.

Guests staying in the Owners Suite are pampered with an array of thoughtful extras. These include free laundry and dry cleaning, free WiFi, 2-hours free satellite phone use and a delightful afternoon canapé and champagne service.

Position and layout

There are two Owners Suites onboard Silversea’s Silver Whisper, both located midship on deck 7. Each of the spacious Owners Suites measure a generous 85 sq. m. (919 sq. ft.) including a 20 sq. m. (220 sq. ft.) private teak veranda.

A small, parquetry entry foyer welcomes guests to the Owners Suite. Off to one side is a powder room. Beyond the foyer is the main living space comprising a comfortable lounge/sitting area, dining space, bar, and writing desk. A separate master bedroom gives access to the Owners Suite’s opulent marble bathroom and a large walk-in wardrobe. Running the entire length of the Owners Suite is an enormous teak veranda.

The Owners Suite is also available in a two-bedroom configuration with direct access to an adjoining vista suite.

Enormous teak veranda

Arguably the greatest asset of the Owners Suite is the large teak veranda that runs the entire length of the suite. At 20 sq. m. (220 sq. ft.) it is the largest private veranda on the Silver Whisper, almost double the size of those verandas in Grand, Royal and Silver Suites.

The veranda is tastefully decked out with patio furniture, including a 4-seat outdoor dining setting, two commodious deck chairs and a pair of padded sun loungers. When we reviewed, it was the perfect place to while away a few hours with a good book, or entertain friends over an al fresco meal.

Living area

The living area of the Silver Whisper Owners Suite is undoubtedly prestigious, but it retains a classic Silversea feel. Fine art hangs from the walls and the suite is flooded with natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass doors that lead onto the veranda. However, as you can see from the pictures in this review it is the sense of space that’s most impressive.

The timber floored entry foyer includes a hall table, mirror and access to a powder room (guest bathroom). In the living area beyond, the spacious sitting area offers wonderful views from a plush 3-seater lounge. Two large armchairs and an elegant coffee table complete the setup with a Bang & Olufsen sound system and wall mounted flat screen TV ready to entertain.

In the middle of the living space is the dining area, which boasts a 4-seat dining table. It is ideal for entertaining ‘at home’ and gives guests the opportunity to enjoy meals served in-suite, course-by-course from the Restaurant menu.

Behind the dining area is a wet bar with three tall chairs. It is fully stocked and maintained to your preference by your attentive butler. An Illy Espresso machine sits at the end of the bar and coffee pods are replenished as needed.

At the far end of the living area is a small study alcove with leather topped writing desk and personalised stationary.

Bedroom

The master bedroom in the Owners Suite has a wonderful calming ambience with a palette of soft, neutral tones. This spacious retreat boasts a queen sized bed with Silversea’s signature Pratesi® sheets. Fine artwork adorns the walls here too and there is direct access to the teak veranda through floor-to-ceiling glass doors. There is also ample storage space in deep cupboards and on shelving.

A large walk-in wardrobe with personal safe is located off the bedroom. A flat panel TV, iPod docking station and vanity mirror complete this sumptuous sleeping area.

Marble bathroom

Guests staying in the Owners Suite are sure to appreciate the opulent marble bathroom. It is accessed from the master bedroom and features a separate shower and full-sized whirlpool tub.

The bathroom also has a double-vanity with large mirror. There is ample storage space on either side of the mirror and underneath the vanities. The toilet and bidet are located in a separate room off to the side.

Guests may choose either hypo-allergenic, Ferragamo or Bvlgari bathroom products. Plush bathrobes and slippers are also supplied.

Powder room

In keeping with the prestigious nature of the Owners Suite, a powder room (second bathroom) is available. This small, marble bathroom is located off the entry foyer.
