Silver Dawn has been delivered to Silversea’s Cruises at the Fincantieri shipyard near Genoa, Italy. She is the tenth vessel in the Silversea fleet, and her arrival comes just months after the successful delivery of her sister vessel, Silver Moon.
“In welcoming the beautiful Silver Dawn as the 10th ship in our fleet, we have reached a huge milestone on our mission to take our guests deep into the world in luxury.”
Roberto Martinoli – President & CEO, Silversea Cruises.
A third Muse-class vessel
The 596-guest, ultra-luxury Silver Dawn is the third Muse-class vessel. According to Silversea she represents an evolution in luxury cruise travel. Indeed, she builds on the innovations of her sister ships, Silver Moon and Silver Muse.
During the construction of Silver Dawn up to 1,000 tradespeople and artisans worked simultaneously on the ship each month. In fact 95,500 litres (25,228 gallons) of paint were applied and almost 1.7 million metres (1.85 million yards) of electric cable installed. Not to mention the 15,000 steel plates and profiles cut for her construction.
New on Silver Dawn
Silver Dawn will introduce Silversea’s new, all-encompassing wellness program known as Otium. In addition, it will feature the new S.A.L.T. culinary program, complete with S.A.L.T. dining room, as well as Kitchen, Lab and Bar.
Other notable changes on Silver Dawn include a welcome reimagining of the Dolce Vita lounge. Indeed, as we’ve previously reported the space on Silver Muse can feel like a thoroughfare. However, on Silver Dawn the bar now occupies the centre of the space which creates two distinct zones; a more formal setting on one side and a relaxed bar/café on the other.
Also, the Connoisseur’s Corner is now larger and located on Deck 9 with an outdoor Wintergarden area. In addition, on the Pool Deck the bar is bigger and there are also steps into the pool basin for easier access.
Next: Silver Dawn’s maiden voyage
Now she’s been delivered, Silver Dawn is schedule to debut on 18 March 2022. She will sail her maiden voyage from Fort Lauderdale, USA to Lisbon, Portugal. For more information visit the Silver Dawn page on the Silversea website.
