The Silver Muse sea trials have officially been completed. The newest luxury ship in the Silversea fleet yesterday finished the exhaustive sea trials off the Italian port city of Genoa.
The ship underwent extensive speed, vibration, noise, endurance and propulsion tests from the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa where the vessel is currently under construction.
The Silver Muse sea trials were highly successful. It passed all the assessments in accordance with international rules and regulations. Silversea tell us the sea trials mark a significant milestone in Silver Muse’s development.
Silver Muse will be formally christened in Monaco on 19 April this year. “In just a matter of weeks we will be welcoming guests from around the world on board the newest member of the Silversea family, with our new flagship set to offer the highest expression of excellence in elegance and comfort at sea”, said Amber Wilson, Managing Director Asia Pacific.
The line says that Silver Muse will redefine ocean travel, enhancing the small-ship intimacy with spacious all-suite accommodations that are the hallmarks of the Silversea experience.
During 2017 Silver Muse will visit 34 countries and call at 130 ports, including 52 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The addition of Silver Muse will expand Silversea’s fleet to nine ships and the line says it will once again raise the bar in the ultra-luxury cruise market.
