Silversea return to cruising this month. The ultra-luxury, boutique cruise brand will launch its new flagship Silver Moon in the Mediterranean and relaunch the new expedition ship Silver Origin in the Galápagos.
In addition, Silver Muse and Silver Shadow are now confirmed to relaunch in July 2021.
“The entire team at Silversea and our loyal guests have been waiting for this incredible news for over one year.”
Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO of Silversea Cruises
Silver Moon spearheads Silversea return
Silver Moon, which was to debut in late-2020, will now make its inaugural voyage on 18 June 2021 sailing round-trip from Athens, Greece.
The itinerary will take in many of Greece’s most beautiful destinations, such as Santorini, Paros, Mykonos, and Crete as well as Haifa (Israel) and Cyprus.
However, guests will only be allowed to leave the ship on Silversea’s verified shore excursions (one is included in the cruise fare each day). This will help protect the health of guests as well as that of the locals in ports of call. Premium verified shore experiences will also be available at an additional charge.
Full COVID-19 vaccination will be mandatory for all guests and crew embarking Silver Moon in Greece. On board there will also be more stringent sanitation procedures, increased air filtration and enhanced medical teams.
Silver Origin in the Galápagos
On 19 June 2021 the new Silver Origin will make her long-awaited return to service in the Galápagos Islands.
The ultra-luxury expedition ship will sail two alternating itineraries that incorporate five maiden calls, including the beautiful island of Santa Fe.
Each itinerary also includes the ‘must-visit’ islands of Fernandina and Isabela, as well as enriched shore-side programs.
Like Silver Moon, all guests and crew must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Silver Muse returns
The Silversea return to crusing will also make it the first cruise line to return to Alaska when Silver Muse arrives in those northern waters in July.
Silver Muse will set sail on round-trip voyages from Seattle starting 29 July 2021. These 10- and 11-day itineraries, which won’t require stops in Canada, take guests to some of Alaska’s most breathtaking places including the Sawyer Glacier and the Mendenhall Glacier.
All guests and crew must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before embarking.
Silver Shadow in Iceland
Meanwhile, Silver Shadow will set sail on 30 July 2021 from Reykjavik, Iceland. The boutique-sized cruise ship will circumnavigate Iceland with three all-new itineraries.
Iceland is famously known as ‘the land of ice and fire’. Indeed, guests can expect to see volcanoes and glacier-sculpted fjords, as well as lava fields, magnificent waterfalls and bubbling hot springs.
As with all these resuming voyages, full COVID-19 vaccination is required.
