Aqua Mekong plunge pool
One of the real surprises on Aqua Mekong is the infinity pool. Perched high on the observation deck this unexpectedly large plunge pool has magnificent views across the bow.
The infinity pool is shaded for protection from the harsh sun, making it idea for cooling off.
Comfortable outdoor sofas surround the infinity pool. On my review voyage these sofas were a popular place for relaxation.
Despite being close to the main bar it’s worth noting that service around the infinity pool can be sporadic.
Aqua Mekong spa
Aqua Mekong has an ultra-luxurious spa. In fact I think it is the most beautiful I’ve seen on any cruise ship.
Designed with pampering, privacy and tranquility in mind it has a serene waiting area with sedan-style arm chairs and hardwood floors. The two treatment rooms are clad in fine silk panelling, and all around are magnificent floral displays.
The spa showcases various Southeast Asian treatments like Khmer massage and Vietnamese aromatherapy. However, traditional massage styles are also available. In addition, the are foot scrubs as well as facial and beauty treatments.
Aqua Mekong gym
There is a small but extremely practical gym on Aqua Mekong. It has running machines and exercise bikes, as well as free weights.
There are also stretch balls and yoga mats. What’s more, floor-to-ceiling windows ensure an inspirational view of the river while you work out.
Aqua Mekong Sun Deck
The Sun Deck on Aqua Mekong is perfect for lazy afternoons on the river. You can catch the gentle breeze from a sun lounger as you sip on a cocktail, or lose yourself in a good book at one of the teak tables.
It’s all very swish. In fact there is even a bar to temp you with cooling libations. However, it’s worth noting the bar was not operational on my voyage.
Jogging track
Aqua meking does not have a dedicated jogging track, so guests tend to use the promenade on the top deck.
The promenade deck runs the entire lenght of the vessel. Ten laps is approx. 1.6 km. / 1 mi.
