The Seabourn Odyssey pools
There are two Seabourn Odyssey pools as well as six whirlpools. The main pool is on deck 8 together with two large whirlpool hot tubs. Beautiful teak decking surrounds the Seabourn Odyssey pool and there are plenty of comfortable sun loungers. There are also cabana-style day beds which are ideal for couples. Additional sun loungers are on deck 9.
There is poolside bar service throughout the day, so you can enjoy a refreshing cocktail without leaving your sun lounger. Also, there are regular presentations of iced treats and cocktails. And in the heat of the day the attentive staff even offer chilled face towels.
The second Seabourn Odyssey pool is at the back of the ship on deck 5. It is a small pool – really just large enough for a quick cool off. However this pool area has a much more exclusive feel and it also has panoramic ocean views.
Just like the main Seabourn Odyssey pool, this one has two whirlpool hot tubs. Genuine teak decking also surrounds the small pool and there are sun loungers and day beds. Some are arranged for full sun while others are in the shade.
There is also bar service around the pool area on deck 5 and it should be noted that the starboard side is a designated smoking area.
At the other end of the ship, perched high above the ocean on deck 6, is the spectacular forward whirlpool. With unrivalled views this iconic whirlpool on the bow of Seabourn Odyssey is very popular, especially at sunset. The surrounding deck has sun loungers and plenty of beach towels.
An additional whirlpool can be found in the Spa at Seabourn.
The Seabourn Odyssey spa
The Spa at Seabourn is a tranquil haven where you can indulge in some of the worlds best beauty treatments and also improve your wellbeing. It really adds to the sense of Seabourn Odyssey wellness.
It occupies almost the entire back section of deck 9 and has treatment rooms, a thalassotherapy spa pool, a salon, a motion studio and a fitness centre. There is also a serenity deck where you can relax while watching the calming wake views.
Many of the treatments on offer have come through Seabourn’s partnership with celebrity wellness guru Dr. Andrew Weil. They aim to give a more holistic spa and wellness experience, combining physical therapy with environmental and spiritual wellbeing.
A certified yoga and meditation practitioner is available to inspire and educate guests.
The Spa at Seabourn has separate sauna and steam room facilities for men and women.
Gym and fitness
The Seabourn Odyssey gym is like a fitness centre in a private club. It has plenty of fitness machines and free weights.
To help you stay healthy there are step-classes, pilates and yoga sessions. A personal trainer can also be hired by the hour or as part of a personal Seabourn Odyssey wellness program.
Sadly, Seabourn Odyssey does not have a dedicated jogging track. During our Seabourn Odyssey review most guests used the open deck on deck 5 to jog or power-walk.
The Retreat
The Seabourn Odyssey Retreat is not to be confused with The Retreat on board Seabourn Encore. It does not have those exclusive cabanas or food and beverage services. However, there’s no extra charge to use it.
The Retreat has a 9-hole putting course as well as shuffleboard. There is also a quiet Sun Terrace with super-comfortable day beds.
The Seabourn Odyssey Retreat is on deck 11 at the front of the ship.
