Seven Seas Voyager pool

The Seven Seas Voyager pool is a sparkling oasis on the high seas. It is a place where rest and relaxation are the order of the day.

The Seven Seas Voyager pool is a sun-drenched oasis.

The pool has an unusual shape, with a rounded shallow end that’s perfect for aqua-therapy. There are also two heated whirlpools.

An enormous teak deck surrounds the pool and there are lots of comfortable sun loungers. In fact, you can order a cool cocktail right from your sun lounger – there is no need to get up. It is very inviting and all too easy to drift blissfully through another day at sea. However, the Country music played around the pool deck might not be to your liking.

Seven Seas Voyager spa

Like many luxury cruise ships the Seven Seas Voyager has a Canyon Ranch Spa. As you’d expect, the spa is a feast for the senses with a subtle fragrance, calming music and a soothing ambiance.

There are a range of treatments that go well beyond the traditional offerings, like the Organic Lavender & Seaweed Sugar facial or the Mindful Dreams Ritual. There is even an aromatic steam room where you can bask in fragrant, 90-percent-plus humidity.

Of course there are more traditional offerings too, like deep cleansing facials, body scrubs and massage.

In fact when the ship is not at sea there are often special prices on massage treatments. For instance, during my voyage the Canyon Ranch Spa offered an 80-minute massage for the price of a 50-minute treatment. These specials are advertised in the daily Passages newsletter.

There is also a salon with services for men and women.

Seven Seas Voyager gym

The Seven Seas Voyager gym makes keeping fit easy. There are treadmills, bikes and elliptical trainers as well as free-weights and weight machines.

The gym also has a Fitness Studio for aerobics, yoga, stretch and pilates classes. There are free classes which are advertised in the Passages newsletter. In addition, a personal trainer is available for hire on an hourly or daily basis.

Sports and jogging

The Seven Seas Voyager has an excellent range of outdoor fitness activities. In fact, I think they are among the best at sea.

There is shuffleboard and a putting green, as well as a golf net where you can practice your swing.

Seven Seas Voyager also has a great jogging track on the top deck. Seven laps around the track is 1 mile (1.6 km).
