Silver Muse pool

The Silver Muse pool is quite simply the biggest and best of any luxury cruise ship. It is an oasis of sparkling water on the high seas. It is long enough for even serious swimmers to do laps. It’s deep enough to swim right down. Plus, there are also two whirlpool hot tubs as well.

The Sliver Muse pool.
The Silver Muse pool is a sparkling oasis.

Silversea pioneered the resort-style pool experience and on Silver Muse they’ve raised the bar. The teak pool deck is bigger than ever and there is more personal space for everyone. There are plenty of padded sun loungers around the Silver Muse pool as well as shaded outdoor sofas. They are ideal to sink into with a good book.

Pampering is the order of the day around the Silver Muse pool. The staff like to help lay out your beach towel and they’ll keep you hydrated with either still or sparkling water – the choice is yours. There are regular presentations of iced fruit treats and special cocktails as well. In fact, you can have any beverage you like delivered right to your sun lounger. There’s no need to get up!

The water temperature in the Silver Muse pool is set at a comfortable 27ºC / 80ºF.

The sun terrace on Silver Muse.
The sun terrace and whirlpool at the stern are a secret hideaway.

In addition to the main pool there is also an exclusive teak sun terrace at the stern. It is a tranquil spot with great wake views, a whirlpool hot tub and cabanas for relaxing. Few people seemed to know about it when I was onboard – it was a real secret hideaway on this luxury cruise ship!

Silver Muse spa

Zagara is the Silver Muse spa. It is named after the fragrant orange blossoms that cover the Amalfi Coast in Italy each Spring.

Indeed, the Zagara Beauty Spa on Silver Muse is a sensory haven where the treatments really do awaken an awareness of the mind, body and soul.

It’s a sensorial journey of floral aromas, calming harmonies, and fluid motions. Relaxation and mindfulness seem to inevitably follow.

The Zagara spa also has saunas for men and women.

The world-class Zagara Beauty Spa has a range of indulgent treatments. There are relaxing massages as well as facials, manicures and even acupuncture. The Silver Muse spa also has a hair salon with services for women and men. Plus, there is a sauna with ocean views as well.

It is important to note that treatments in the Zagara Beauty Spa are not included in your cruise fare. Also, bookings are essential, especially on sea days when the Spa gets busy.

Silver Muse gym

The Silver Muse gym has everything you need to stay fit at sea. There are free-weights as well as weight machines, treadmills, bikes and even elliptical trainers.

The Silver Muse gym also has a separate space for aerobics, yoga, pilates and circuit training. There are free classes which are advertised in the Daily Chronicles newsletter. In addition, a personal trainer is available for hire on an hourly or daily basis.

Silver Muse jogging track

Silver Muse has one of the best jogging tracks of any luxury cruise ship. It loops around the top deck, from the Spaccanapoli restaurant, and past the pool to the stern. Eight circuits is equal to 1 mile.

The Silver Muse jogging track is the best I've seen on a luxury cruise ship.

The Silver Muse jogging track has a special surface and there are even line markings – walkers stay on the right.
